Your Eternity
Psalm 126:5-6
I don’t know if You can hear me, but I’m hoping You’re listening
Cast my line out I’m fishing, cause something’s still missing
This prayer is my bait like a worm on a hook
I’m squirming, dangling, hoping You look
I know I’m not appealing, I’m buried in sins
And all the consequences that I find myself living in
A fresh start, a new hope, a real change that’s no joke
A mending, my heart’s broke, my name needs to be rewrote
My mind needs to be re-thought, my spirit needs to be re-caught
My sight needs to be re-sought, my life needs to be re-bought
My fight needs to be re-fought, my wisdom needs to be re-taught
My walk needs to be re-walked, my talk needs to be re-talked
My hope has gone to hopelessness, please fill me to be hopeful
My faith and love have lost not a portion but the total
Please see me hanging, on the edge, with a grip, that is slipping
Waiting for Your hand that I’m hoping You’re lending
My heart’s crying out to find Your Eternity
I’m on my knees, begging please come and find me…

Now I bow down before You Lord,
Drop my knees to the floor, there has to be more
Tears stream from my heart like a river for life
The hunger’s inside, and I want my pain to die
I know I need You now more than ever, there’s so much at stake
With the prices that I’m paying for mistakes that I’ve made
I need to know You because You know me much better
I hate the temptations, and I hate all the pressure
I hate the separation, the battle of mistrusting You
I can’t focus, help me focus on the Truth
I need humility when I’m weak to obey
I need to trust You, so that I can follow Your ways
I need to wake up, I’m tired of the nightmares
Of living life without the power to care
I stop and stare up towards the sky for hope, I’ve run out
There’s none now, unless You show me how
To do more than cope… to do more than cope,
but to find Your Eternity
